Dennis J. Easters- I am originally from Tampa, Florida, but now live in Atenas, Costa Rica. I have always wanted to live outside the United States, but had ideas of the south of France or Spain. A family vacation to Costa Rica changed all that. After that first trip I was hooked. It was all I could think about. Now I am living my dream and loving every minute of it. I attended the University of South Florida, with studies in Accounting and Industrial Psychology. This has helped me immensely throughout the years in my business. In addition, I hold a real estate license in the state of Florida.
I have been involved in real estate investing for more than twelve years now. I specialized in restoration and renovation of historic homes in the Tampa Bay area. In addition, I built a portfolio of rental properties, all single family homes through out Tampa. This experience I bring with me to Costa Rica to apply in my development company, Pure Life Development. Real Estate is my passion. When I set a goal for myself, I go for it.
Gerardo Gonzalez-Porras- I am proud to introduce myself as the resident Tico ( Costa Rican) at Pure Life Development. Originally from the capital, San Jose, I have lived in the United States for the past 12 years. It was my dream for many years to learn the English language. This dream took me to Tampa, Florida where I studied at Florida Metropolitan University. I am now bi-lingual, speaking both English and Spanish. I have always worked in the hospitality industry, focusing on tourism, working one on one as a dance instructor, and managing a team to effectively and efficiently care for clientele from around the world. For the past 5 years, I have worked side by side with my business partner, Dennis J. Easters to learn about real estate. In addition, I am a licensed real estate agent in the state of Florida. I hope that my years of experience will help anyone coming to Costa Rica feel right at home.
Shannon Farley – I have been living and
working internationally for 16 years, 10 of those in
Costa Rica, and the rest were in St. Petersburg, Russia.
I am originally from Ventura, California, and, yes, I
speak both Spanish and Russian!
I have 16 years of business management experience, most
of those in tourism and start-up businesses – including
travel agencies, tour operators, outdoor education
businesses and hotels. I am a certified
teambuilding/ropes course instructor, and a professional
tour guide, certified by the International Tour
Management Institute. I have had the fun and good
fortune to guide groups on adventure and cultural
expeditions around the world. As well, I have a
professional background in journalism and law.
Most recently, I was general manager of Xandari by the
Pacific Resort & Spa on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica,
taking the hotel from construction start-up to the
highly successful boutique luxury resort it is today.
One of my greatest joys is to share the natural beauty,
culture, life and history of distinctive places in the
world with others.

freedom – exploring the 'wild' in our own natures and
foraging the external wilderness in ways that we somehow
never manage to at home."
